Amber Glenn in person

Greetings!

So who is Amber Glenn, Owner/Trainer/Walker?

Ch. Jan Dane's A-Team Abigal
Me and Abby with her winnings in 1984.
I was born in Toledo and raised in Whitehouse.  I have had a love for furkids my whole life. I had my first show furkid (Yellow Lab named Abby) when I was 10 years old. I won lots of ribbons and trophies and that started a ripple effect of excitement. I went around to the neighbors asking if I could train their furkids until I had covered every house. LOL Then I turned to bringing home every stray furkid I came across. I had my own furkid show. I would play (train) with them everyday all day long, my furkids and I were inseparable. At the age of 12 I was suggested as a trainer to friends of family members and friends of friends.

I’ve never stopped training furkids for family and friends and I have even gotten into Agility a couple of years ago. I have received a Certificate (1 year of education) (1999) in Veterinarian Technician and an Associates Degree in Business Administration (2007), Bachelor Degree in Business Management (2011) and a Career Diploma (2013) in Professional Dog Training.

I enlisted in the Army when I was 20 years old and come April 2015 I will have hit my 20-year retirement point, which means free time. Before my deployment I worked as a Project Manager Assistant for Marathon Pipeline. I love the job but I am tired of being cooped up in a small cubical. When I came back from my deployment in February I notified my job that I would not be returning. Plus, I would like to do something different with the next half of my life, something that sings to my heart.

Eli at 9 weeks old
Yes, he went to military training with me!
I cannot only thank Jesus for pushing me into the idea of starting my own business but my loving companion and furbaby, Eli. Eli is still alive and well and living with my best friend’s brother and sister-in-law. In 2012 I got very sick to the point of needing major surgery. During this time I did not have time for Eli and he started to become destructive in the house. I had to do right by him and find someone who had more time for him. Thank God my best friend’s brother and sister-in-law were looking for a second furkid. Eventhough, I knew I had to do it it broke my heart. I thought I would get him back when I was all better and able to care for him again but as luck would have it, I got a phone call informing me that I would be deploying within three months. So Eli stayed where he was. By the time I came back they had Eli for two years. They also had a 2 1/2 year old little boy who was VERY attached to Eli. Knowing what the heart break feels like there was no way I was going to do that to a little boy. After three years of trying to get over Eli I have finally gotten a couple of new furbabies, two Australian Shepherds named Pebbles and BamBam. But it has honestly taken me that long to be able to move on without Eli. It was an aweful three years.

BamBam and Pebbles

I am very big on helping my community and taking care of others. Realizing that my ordeal with Eli is very common among others I wanted to do something so that no one had to go through what I did. This is how Mission Pawzible came about. I want to be there for others to help them take care of their furkids. Sometimes our lifestyles get a bit busy and it’s the furkid that gets pushed to the side. Now no one has to feel bad about the furkid taking a back seat to the kid’s sports, helping your kids with homework, cooking dinner, or just wanting to relax after a long day at work anymore!
